Yesterday Ken and I went back to the same place, and right after he half-jokingly asked if my pileated woodpecker friend was going to make an appearance, we heard its call! Didn't see him at first but saw him a little later on, super high in a tree.
Oh yeah I should totally get into Merlin - downloaded it but haven't used it much, good reminder!
